The amount of equalization required depends on the data
rate - but this isn't the whole story
Given no noise, you can theoretically equalize any
channel, but
Faster systems require more intense equalization.
Unfortunately, equalization is not the whole picture. We
also have to consider noise.
In a backplane environment, most of the noise comes from
crosstalk.
